Wow, time sure flies! Jack is now seven months old and we can't believe it! He is such a joy and I feel we are really getting to know his "little" personality. So what has changed recently? Jack sits up without assistance for very long periods of time and while he is not crawling yet he is making many motions towards doing so. Jon and I are enjoying the last few moments of not having a mobile baby. We have a feeling that once he starts crawling we may never catch him again. Also, he loves to give "kisses" to Mommy and Daddy and by kisses we mean he opens his mouth as wide as possible and pulls our whole face towards him. Oh well, we know he loves us :) We are also well into fruits and veggies now and he loves to eat- big surprise, huh? He has become quite a good nap taker lately, so that has been quite the welcome change :) Here are some stats:
LIKES: moving constantly, anything Mommy and Daddy do to make themselves look silly, getting and giving kisses, the swings at the park, bathtime, any books that have peekaboo flaps involved, being naked, sitting up in the middle of Mommy and Daddy's bed, his crib (he loves to roll around in it), his stuffed Tigger, playing in water of any sort (we're getting a baby pool this week!), "flying" in the air, mango, bananas, peas, carrots, avocado, sweet potatoes, oatmeal
DISLIKES: currently his carseat (yes, this is a problem), carriers (I just bought a sling to try to find SOME sort of carrier he will like), teething (but who does?), strangers (he's getting a little bit of stranger danger lately), green beans and spinach are not favorites- but he will eat them
Yes, we are well into teething and have been having quite the rough time the past few days. Hopefully they will pop through soon and the next batch will be a little easier. We just hurt for him in the meantime though :(
We made the trek up to Tulsa for a visit and to meet Jack's new baby cousin Kendall (who's totally adorable!). The car trip took about 8 hours and Jack did great considering what was being asked of him. The trip back was a little more rough than the trip down. He just wanted to be out of that carseat. We had a great visit though with the families.
Austin is great and we are having wonderful weather, so we are trying to enjoy it everyday before it gets to hot to go outside after 8 in the morning. We have lots of nice parks around us and Jack loves the baby swings. Unfortunately we don't have any large trees, so we can't have our own swing . It's okay though because we love going to the parks :)

Being adorable- and yes, he's in a tank top. It has been that hot here already!
