Stats and other happenings...

Jack's pediatrician visit went great and he is healthy and on his way to trying new foods! First up was peas. I thought nothing could top oatmeal, but alas, he loves peas! I am making his baby food using my Beaba that my mom and grandmother gave to me as a shower gift and I love it! It is easy and fun to make his food and I only have to wash one thing- the Beaba. I also started making his oatmeal and that is a little more time consuming, but still fun (and cheaper!). Next up are green beans, avocados and sweet potatoes. So many new foods to try!

We had a fun visit from Jon's mom (Grammy) a week ago. We took her to lots of Austin faves like Rudy's and Chuy's. We also went to Ikea and the outlet mall in Round Rock!

Jack has become very attached to this little stuffed Tigger that I gave Jon back in high school. I put it up in Jack's room as a fun decoration on the bookshelves and then we played with it a few times and now he's hooked. He loves it and it goes everywhere with us. If he goes to bed with it only near him, he ALWAYS reaches out his arm to touch it or pull it towards him. It's very sweet and I am glad he has a comfort item.

His weight at the pediatrician's was 16.9 (He was 15.12 in February- I can't remember if I published that), which is the 50th percentile. His weight gain has slowed down a lot, but that's normal when the baby becomes more active- and this kid is active. His length was 27.5, so he is pretty long- 80th percentile.

He loves to play and fly through the air (well, we are still holding onto him, so it's not really flying). He also loves watching Mommy and Daddy be really silly and sing lots of silly songs. I am pretty sure I make up a song a day about something, be it peas or his double chin. He is rolling all over now- both ways! Now there is no limit to the weird positions we find him in when he wakes up. He's still not quite sitting up on his own, but getting closer everyday.

We have been having great weather here in Austin, so I am pulling out his summer clothes and getting excited to start playing outside and getting a baby pool!
