Hope you all enjoy the pics below! I am sure there will be many more to come with Christmas around the corner! A couple of days ago Jack and I made a Christmas ornament together and it was quite the experience. I found this adorable handprint-in- plaster kit at Hallmark that then became an ornament for the tree. I decided to attempt to do this with a three month old (on my own) during the 20 minute window after he eats when he's very happy. I got him to open his hand (no easy feat) and put in the plaster, but then he kept closing his hand while it was in the plaster. After 5 attempts, we do have a lovely ornament with his handprint. In the end, we both wound up covered with plaster, which came off quite easily thank goodness. I think Jack enjoyed squirming away from mommy while she was trying to wipe him down with a wet paper towel even more than playing in the plaster.
That same day, Jon was putting Jack to bed and he was crying, but then I hear Jon through the monitor say "He rolled over!". By the time I got upstairs, Jon had picked him up and was trying to comfort him so he would go to sleep. Being the awful parents we are :), we decided to see if he would do it again, so we put him down and he did! He looked very stunned afterwards, but not enough to quit crying. Don't worry, we didn't attempt to see it again... He has since rolled over a few more times, but only when he is crying. I guess it takes the strength from being angry about having to go to sleep! Needless to say, we haven't gotten it on video. We don't regularly get the camera out when our child is crying at the top of his lungs... :)
We are off for a 7-8 hour car trip to Tulsa on Sunday for the holidays! We keep hearing that this is the easy travel age, so I guess we should try to enjoy it! I will try to post the past growth pics I've taken on his month birthdays before we go! Merry Christmas to all!
I let Lucy know that she has some work to do, we need to work on rolling over! :-) Can't let Jack get ahead. J/K.
