Jack is three weeks old now and changing everyday! On Monday we had our 2 week check-up and discovered that our boy had grown! He weighed in at 8 lbs. 11 oz., which is 1 lb 10 oz. over his birthweight! Needless to say, he doesn't miss a meal! The doctor did not really inquire into his eating habits after seeing that weight gain. He also grew about 3/4 of an inch longer since birth. We are still getting sleep in about 2.5 hours stints, but we are getting used to it. We won't know what to do with ourselves when we get 4 or 5 hours in a row... Jon's mom, sister, and our niece Gabby came for a visit this past weekend. Gabby really enjoyed holding and reading to her cousin. She is ready for Jack not to sleep so much and play with her though :) Yesterday, Jack had his first bath submerged in the water. He didn't quite know what to think at first, he seemed to like it for five minutes, but then he was done. Afterwards, he liked being wrapped in his hooded towel and fell right asleep for a few hours :) We will be having a bath before bedtime every night :) Above are the most recent pictures taken over the past week- enjoy!
---Well, I wrote that post a while ago, but never got around to actually posting. Jack is four weeks old now and changing EVERYDAY! He is following us with his eyes and making excellent eye contact now. His hair is growing, well, at least his hair on top, which is helping to even out his mullet. We had to go to the doctor a week ago to get some reflux medication for him and his weight then was 9 lbs. 2 oz. So, who knows what he weighs now. He will be one month old on Saturday and we have a big couple of weekends coming up. Saturday he will attend his first birthday party and next weekend he will attend his first wedding (and hopefully be well-behaved). That is all for now! We will update with pics of the events soon!
